    Questions About Our Church

    • Who was Kenneth Hagin?

Our Bishop, Leroy Davis, admires and adheres to the teachings of renowned Pastor Kenneth E. Hagin. His story and church ministries are an inspiration to us as we reach others here at Word Of Faith Christian Center Church!

Hagin was born in Texas in 1917. He was born with a heart deformity and a blood disease that was deemed incurable, and doctors did not expect him to live. When Hagin was 15 years old, he became bedridden, and during that time he experienced a dramatic conversion. It was in April of 1933 when Hagin reported experiencing dying three times in ten minutes- each time seeing the horrors of Hell before returning back to life. This experience completely changed his life as he put his faith in Jesus Christ, though he still remained paralyzed afterwards. That is until August 8, 1934, when Kenneth Hagin was miraculously healed of his bedridden paralysis by the power of God through a revelation of faith in God's Word.

Hagin went on to grow his ministry with multiple media outlets; including book and magazine publications, a television program, and a radio program, among much more. One of the scriptures that defined Hagin's ministry was found in Mark 11:23-24, which reads: "truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours".

Kenneth E. Hagin founded the Rhema Bible Training Center, now known as the Rhema Bible Training College, in 1974. The institution specializes in seven ministry concentrations, and has training centers in multiple countries across the globe! Over 80,000 graduates of the college now reside and minister in around 52 countries. Hagin passed away in September of 2003, leaving his son, Kenneth W. Hagin, to lead the ministry.

    • What are people saying about Word of Faith Christian Center Church?

"Always clean, always showering love to visitors, and the word from the Lord is clearly presented by the pastor." -Jacquelyn D.

"Bishop Leroy Davis is a wonderful teacher. He breaks the word down so you can understand everything." - Lisa S.

"Just a bunch of folks who Love the Lord Jesus Christ with all of their body, mind, soul and spirit! I grew up in a non denominational missionary church over there in North Pekin, but I had been looking for a new church home, when I had recently made a decision to come full circle and retire back at home in the Heart of ILL, where my journey in life began. When I had attended Word of Faith Christian Ctr., upon the invitation of a friend, I truly felt God's tug on my heart to call it home. So I'd made a decision to follow that calling and joined the church that day!! I am at home in the Body of Christ now, here on Earth until the Lord calls me home into His presence in Heaven!!!" -Edward M.

"Word of Faith Christian Center is loving to all that walk through the doors, exciting and exhilarating during the praise & worship portion of service & in ushering the presence of God. The Inspirational speakers entice your appetite for the word to come while giving you many golden nuggets of information preparing the way for one of the toughest choirs in Peoria. Then the meat of the word is served and you eat your feel while taking notes to feast on later. Word of Faith Christian Center church is one of THE best houses of worship in Peoria, surrounding areas, and in Illinois 'period' and I'm glad to be a member there." Jackie D.

"YES! Well over 40+ yrs..... awesome inspired speaker ...Bishop Leroy Davis ... I LOVE THAT GREAT MAN OF GOD ...AMEN
